Law of Compensation and Making Success Happen

We all have the same 24 hours in a day.  Regardless of how it may feel, those succeeding when you are not are using the same clock.  Success is not really a mystery, its fundamentals, plain and simple.  Actually, is the implementation of the fundamentals that really makes the difference.

Whether you are new or old to marketing your business, you are going to have to develop a daily routine of action steps that will lead you to your goal.  And in case you haven’t figured it out yet, there isn’t a quick, miraculous answer out there for you that will make you successful with the snap of your finger.

Success takes work, but when you break it down into doable action steps that you can check off everyday then eventually all of that effort will compound, and then it will appear to others that you got lucky and success just happened for you.

Its actually the law of compensation at work. I was on a conference call with Robert Kiyosaki, the author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and he made a point that I wanted to share with you. The point was understanding the law of compensation. Most people work really hard, but they want to receive results almost instantaneously. Business doesn’t work that way. You have to keep working, paying your dues. Throughout your effort you will be compensated. The more work that you do, the more you will be compensated. Here’s the catch. The compensation doesn’t always come right away. This is an important point that you must understand. You may bust your tail for a year and have little to show for it. Maybe 2, then 3 years. All of a sudden, you have a breakthrough. Suddenly you can do less work then before and achieve greater results then ever.

Bur first you have to take consistent action. I heard it broken down this way from “The Sleight Edge” audio book and it really made an impact on me.  Lets say that you make the smallest improvement daily that you can.  Lets say that you improve .003% each and everyday.  That is almost immeasurable, but if you do that daily over the course of a single year, you would be a completely different person one year later, it would be well over a 100% improvement from where you are the day you start.   It doesn’t take much, its easy to do, its also easy not to do.

Once you decide to market online, the best strategy is to focus on one or two forms of marketing, master them, then move on to the next.  You will be bombarded with different promotions every week, but you must stand fast and stay focused.

Here is a daily routine if you are focusing on article marketing with your blog, Facebook, and twitter.

Daily

  1. Write an article in your niche
  2. Submit article through onlywire to bookmark
  3. Submit your site through The Unified Tribe
  4. Reciprocate and spread the word for at least 5 people through the Unified Tribe.
  5. Friend 25 people in Facebook with similar interests
  6. Spin your article
  7. Submit article through article directories

Make sure that every article has a call to action in the resource box, and a link to the original post on your blog.  This will reduce the slap for duplicated content since you are linking to the original.

Its not much but done everyday and added up over the course of  a year.  Your business will be drastically different than where it is now. You will be less frustrated by understanding the law of compensation and through step by step daily activities, you will be making success happen for you and your family.

If you would like to learn how to accomplish these steps in more detail and learn how to monetize your efforts. Fill out the form below to begin your training.

Hi Ritchie,
thanks for this article and mentioning two great authors, Robert Kiyosaki and Jeff Olsen with the Slight Edge. It’s important to know that the Slight Edge works either way, if we do it and if we don’t do it.
Take care
Oliver

So true Oliver, so true.
Sometimes we must work on ourselves to get back to neutral. But from there, the sky is the limit!

Great suggestions and I think I would add that the results are immeasurable as you see your site rankings increase every single day by following these tips. That may not be important to most, but to those who market it is huge. Download the Alexa tool (an addon in firefox) to watch your page rankings. It’s fun to see your progress even when you aren’t making a dime! A great reminder to keep on swimming! Thanks Ritchie!
