Getting accustomed to wordpress can be a daunting task.  So I just wanted to give a quick list of plugins to save you some time and energy establishing your site focused on branding yourself online.  These are plugins that I have found useful.  There are thousands of plugins available and this is by no means an all inclusive list.  Feel free to comment of any plugins that you have found useful.

Favicon Manager – allows you to easily place a favicon on your wordpress site.  A favicon is a logo or picture that goes in the address bar and populates to browsers bookmarks and rss feeds.

As we come to this Thanksgiving Holiday, its a good time to sit back and be thankful to all of those around us and everything that we are blessed with in our life. Be thankful for the breath you take, the good company around us, and the businesses that we are building.

So for the topic of the day, I wanted to address how you are going about building your business and some key thought processes that you want to keep in mind.

Three little words that have a very powerful meaning.  When it comes to business, its what separates the dreamers from the doers.  The cool thing about it is that you can choose to become a doer at anytime.

I have the privilege of talking to people everyday that are starting a business online.  They all have great ideas in the beginning, they buy their domain name send it to their replicated website, or get a domain and hosting and expect their site to be listed immediately.   Unfortunately, for the majority of people I talk to, thats as far as they go.

Tonight I had a revelation!

I went and saw an old roommate that is in a band perform in a small venue. The name of the band is One Last Peace, they can be found at OneLastPeace.com. They are more of a heavy metal band, but looking around the crowd was mind blowing. What I determined was regardless of what you are building or promoting. You are basically building an army of followers. There was probably about 70 fans that were in the venue supporting One Last Peace.

The art of marketing without marketing. Sounds kind of zen like right? Let me explain.

Attraction marketing really boils down to just a couple of things. The main ingredient being leadership, the other, simply marketing. Just like John C. Maxwell points out, “Everything rises and falls on leadership.”

Leadership is determine greatly by personal development. Have you ever heard the phrase “You have to give up to go up?” That phrase is referring to the personal sacrifices and personal growth that one has gone through to earn the capacity to lead. Keyword being: earned.

Ok, so it is now the 5th of July, and we saw the fireworks, drank the beer, ate the brats, celebrated another 4th of July.  Is it just a day off from work for you or does it have more substantial meaning?  Time is precious and we must control our decisions so that we can squeeze out of life everything that we can.

What are you going to do different?

This is the first thing that you have to decide before you start with any attraction marketing. Know who your target market is. That’s the beauty of this whole concept. Before with traditional business, the big companies were the ones with the big advertising budgets. The internet has leveled the playing field, allowing the common person to use the same concepts that have always worked.

To know what your target market is there are some questions that you want to ask yourself:

1. WHO is your target market?”

2. What kinds of things are they looking for, thinking about, and talking about?
